I mean, I made these socks. With my hands. Out of string. That is kind of impressive, I think. Even if it's just a small item.
The nice thing about finishing things is that it always shows me, that I can in fact finish things. Which is something I actually tend to forget and that makes difficult tasks often unnecessarily hard to start and complete.
By the way, I enjoyed knitting with this yarn! It is kind of splitty but I always noticed it in time and was able to fix it. The conitually changing colors make knitting very addictive. The only thing I don't really like is that there is a clear line where I finished the heel and continued knitting in the round. But to avoid that I might have to learn how to knit an afterthought heel and I just didn't feel link it yet.
Oh, apropos learning. I learned something!!! Let me show you a picture, everything is more exciting in pictures, right?
I think I used the easiest method, but it still is colorwork, right?! Anyway this is just a test, I just wanted to see wether I was able to do it. I'm not sure what to do with the resulting tube. It fits my wrist, but it is a bit loose. The colors were chosed at random, and the combination is a bit out of my comfort-zone. Still, I'm thinking a headband could be fun. Right?
The yarns I used are Pickles Merino Tweed and Rauma Finullgarn. Both are leftovers from Norby hats, though I have to keep some of the Rauma, because Norby no. 2 doen't have tassels yet.
